The antique restoration side of the business has developed our skills as carvers and, just as importantly, given us the 'feel' for what is correct design for work set in different historical periods. In the 21st century carving can be mass produced by a computer-aided machines, but the result is always weak and shallow when contrasted to work done by hand in the centuries before. Constantly inspired by the imagination and skill of earlier generations of designers and craftsmen, we aim to match them.
